Bruce McNaughton’s preserve company once sold to global restaurants, but he now welcomes you to his kitchen before treating you to local dishes like potato pie with bacon crust and maple dressing, a choice of 50 teas, and his preserves. It’s also moments like seeing the Great Highland bagpipers, snare drummers and dancers of the College of Piping.

Day 1:-ARRIVE HALIFAX (2 NIGHTS)

Welcome to the vibrant city of Halifax! Set out to immerse yourself in the city’s rich maritime history. Gather at the hotel at 6 p.m. with your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception.

Day 2:-HALIFAX SIGHTSEEING

Today a Local Expert leads an orientation tour of this sparkling port city. Learn about Nova Scotia’s intimate ties to the Titanic at a local cemetery and see where many of the victims are laid to rest. Visit the beautiful, Victorian-era inspired Halifax Public Gardens and the bustling harbourfront. This afternoon, breathe in the fresh ocean air at Peggy’s Cove on St. Margaret’s Bay, delighting painters and photographers with its red lighthouse and colourful fishing village. Then, discover the massive Halifax Citadel, formerly one of the principal naval bases of the British Empire. Later, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3:-HALIFAX – SHERBROOKE VILLAGE – BADDECK (2 NIGHTS)

Head north to Jeddore Oyster Pond and the Fisherman’s Life Museum, which allows you to imagine the simple joys and struggles of a typical fisherman’s family in the early 1900s. Then stroll among the clapboard houses, visit the blacksmith’s shop and see the local school of Sherbrooke Village, a meticulously re-created lumber town from the late 19th century. Upon reaching Cape Breton Island, end your travels in the town of Baddeck on the shores of the enchanting Bras d’Or Lake.

Day 4:- CAPE BRETON HIGHLANDS AND CABOT TRAIL EXCURSION

Visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site where the inventor of the telephone chose to build his grand Canadian estate. Get a taste of the natural beauty that enchanted him on the famed Cabot Trail, a breathtaking journey around the tip of the island. Look out for black bear, moose and bald eagle as you travel past the majestic cliffs and canyons of Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

Day 5:-BADDECK – WOOD ISLANDS FERRY – CHARLOTTETOWN (2 NIGHTS)

Traversing the scenic Nova Scotia countryside, spot little farms, glittering stretches of blue water and rocky headlands before arriving at the lovely harbour of Pictou. Cross the Northumberland Strait to magical Prince Edward Island and picturesque Charlottetown. Visit the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company and learn the secrets of making delicious fruit preserves. Join your hosts for a Be My Guest dinner featuring authentic local cuisine.

Day 6:-PRINCE EDWARD SIGHTSEEING

Join a Local Expert today for an insider’s tour of Prince Edward Island. Begin your exploration at Prince Edward Island National Park with its sand dunes festooned with gently waving beach grass and striking red sandstone cliffs. Visit Province House, Prince Edward Island’s provincial legislature meeting place since 1847 and a National Historic Site. For a Unique Insight, visit the College of Piping, where Celtic culture comes alive! The college has a world-class reputation as an international school of excellence in Highland bagpiping.  Later, pay a visit to the gabled house that provided inspiration for the beloved children’s classic, Anne of Green Gables. Return to Charlottetown and enjoy the evening on your own.

Day 7:-CHARLOTTETOWN – SHEDIAC BAY – HOPEWELL ROCKS – MONCTON

Cross back over the Northumberland Strait, this time by the Confederation Bridge, an eight-mile-long engineering wonder. Back in New Brunswick, head out onto the waters to learn about the art and science of lobstering, then enjoy a lobster Regional Meal aboard the boat (weather permitting). Get out your Guinness Book of World Records this morning and join a Local Expert to visit the magnificently eroded Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy, site of the world’s highest tides. Arrive in Moncton this evening in time to enjoy dinner with your newfound friends.
